PRIVACY POLICY

GUEST HOUSE MICaSA (hereinunder referred to as “our facility”) shall declare to establish a privacy policy (hereinunder referred to as “this policy”) concerning the handling of personal information as described hereunder.

Article 1.  PRIVACY INFORMATION

1. The term “Personal Information” as used in the privacy information refers to “personal information” specified by the Personal Information Protection Law, and it shall mean information about a living individual which can identify the specific individual.

Article 2.  MANNER OF COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMAITON

1. When you make any inquiry, reserve a room or use our facility, we will ask you to provide us with some personal information. Information we collect from our partner companies or other sources can include your transaction records or financial information containing your personal information, carried out between you and our partner companies.

Article 3.  PURPOSE OF COLLECTION AND USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We will only collect and use your personal information for the following purposes.

(1) To send marketing communications to guests or to contact guests.

(2) To confirm identification of guests.

(3) To refuse the use of our facility by the guests who cause damage or fail to observe the rules of use of our facility, or to refuse guests who try to use our facility for illegal or improper purposes.

(4) To respond to guest’s questions or suggestions.

(5) For other purposes related to or incidental to the purposes stated above.

Article 4.  DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES

1. We will not disclose your personal information to third parties without your prior consent except as otherwise provided below. However, this shall not apply to cases where disclosure is permitted by Personal Information Protection Law or other laws and regulations.

(1) Cases in which the personal information is required by laws and regulations.

(2) Cases in which the information is necessary for the protection of a human life, body, or property of an individual and in which it is difficult to obtain the consent of the person.

(3) Cases in which the information is especially necessary for improvement of public hygiene or promotion of sound growth of children and in which it is difficult to obtain the consent of the person.

(4) Cases in which the personal information is necessary for cooperating with a state institution, a local public body, or an individual or entity entrusted by one in executing the operations prescribed by laws and in which obtaining the consent of the person might impede the execution of their tasks

2. Notwithstanding the provisions of the preceding paragraph, the following cases are not considered as provision to a third party.

(1) Cases in which whole or part of the handling of the personal information is entrusted, when the personal information is handled within the scope of the achievement of the purpose of use of our facility.

(2) Cases in which the personal information is provided with the business succession due to mergers or other reasons.

(3) Cases in which the personal information is jointly used with a specific person and when the person is notified the fact of jointly used, the scope of joint users, the purpose of use of a joint user and a name of a person or organization responsible for management of the relevant personal information, or put the person in a readily accessible condition for the person.

Article 5.  DISCLOSURE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

1. We will disclose the personal information to you if you wish to review your personal information we hold. However, when we determined that any of the following conditions for non-disclosure is applicable, we may refuse to disclosure the whole or part of the information.

(1) Cases in which there is a risk of harm to human life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the individual or any third party.

(2) Cases in which there is a risk of causing considerable impediment to the proper execution of our business.

(3) Cases in which the disclosure of the personal information violates other laws and regulations.

Article 6.  CORRECTION AND DELETION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

1. If you believe that your personal information we hold is incorrect, you may request to have them corrected or deleted by our own procedures.

2. If we determine there is an appropriate reason for a guest request to have his/her personal information corrected or deleted, we will respond to such request and notify the guest of correction or deletion.

Article 7.  CHANGE TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

1. We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy without notice to our guests.

2. Any changes will become effective when we post the revised Privacy Policy on this website unless otherwise provided by us.
